Carolina Biological Supply Company Worm Composter Classroom Kit

Grade K and up. Introduce students to the importance of decomposers in the food web as well as the concept of recycling through composting. As students add kitchen waste to this 14-gal vermi-composter, they observe the quick and efficient conversion of organic matter into enriched soil components by redworms. The composting container is constructed of recycled plastic and has 3 vents for proper air flow; the dimensions are 22 W x 17 D x 12 H.

A complete unit for raising and keeping earthworms and redworms. The farm includes an 8-5/8 x 12 x 8-3/4 insulated container with cover and carrying handle, worm food, worm bedding, and instructions. Worms not included. Note: The insulated container is for holding and maintaining worms, not for culturing.
