It features a downturned eye to roll the bead downwards to the eye, exposing more of the hook shank which gives oversized beaded flies more realistic proportions. The mega gap allows the hook point to find the fish regardless of what you tie onto the shank.

The UC6555BL-BN is another competition style jig hook similar to the UC650BL-BN, but this hook pares down the extra wide gape of the UC650 with medium wire, balancing it with a slightly upturned point for optimum hooking and holding ability. It pairs well with standard slotted tungsten beads to create a variety of European-style tactical nymphs that ride point-up in the water.

Peacock quills are naturally beautiful and provide realistic segmentation that mimic a variety of small mayfly nymphs. The historic downside of a quill body is that they are extremely delicate. These slender body flies with a tungsten head cut though the water allowing anglers to fish deeper. The inverted bead on these flies will flip the hook so it rids point up protecting the point from snags.
